Austin Community College has a Free Tuition pilot program where school who graduate from high school, homeschool, or earn a Texas GED® in the ACC service area can take classes without paying tuition or general fees for up to three years.

The Free Tuition Dashboard compares the fall Free Tuition Cohort against previous service area direct-to-college (DTC) cohorts. You can look at daily registration updates, full-time v. part-time enrollment, persistence rates, graduate high schools, and more!
Free Tuition Student Interviews
In fall 2024, OIRA partnered with Trellis Strategies to develop a research study on ACC Free Tuition student enrollment patterns. The study consisted of interviews with 19 students, both full-time and part-time.
