  • ACC Grade Distribution Dashboard (requires access): The grade distribution for students enrolled at ACC for the past few years. The information can be drilled down by Dean, Department, Course, various course related parameters (e.g., course modality, location, etc.), student demographic information, and other student characteristics (e.g. full-time/part-time, student type, etc.)

They will provide you with a solid foundation by explaining the basics of how to understand and use data effectively.   • TIPS – The Information Portal System (requires access): Hosted by the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics, TIPS is an interactive reporting interface containing data on grades, enrollments, transfer, graduation, and more.

  • Blackboard Item Analysis Tool: Start early. Use the tools to establish a baseline of student performance. This baseline is invaluable as you compare it to how your students perform throughout your course. You’ll see patterns and recognize when you need to help at-risk-students succeed and prevent high-performing students from getting bored.

  • HB 8 State Performance Funding Dashboard: ACC Estimates of House Bill 8 performance-based funding outcomes based on ACC student data alongside Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) forecasts. It allows for program-specific breakdowns for awards and school-specific breakdowns for transfer and dual-credit outcomes. The dashboard will be updated each fall.

  • Departmental Snapshots: The departmental snapshots provide department-level performance data, such as enrollment, completions, time-to-degree, and wage outcomes for completers. The information is presented in two pages of user-friendly visualizations for each department. This report is an excellent launchpad for discussion around data in your department. For example, you might notice a trend up or down in persistence – why might that be? What group should get together to discuss what you’re seeing?
